If you're a community ghost who makes dog jokes, you naturally know about the webtoon "Married Potato" - initially it was a happy daily life webtoon where the husband bragged, but in the later half, there were many themes about marital conflicts between the couple

Potato who hoards 75L of trash and throws it away all at once, and...

The husband who throws away trash little by little

The most shocking laundry hack I saw while reading comics is

Too lazy to organize laundry so I just leave it in the washing machine and take it out when it's dry.. for real literally I take it straight out of the washing machine though, and I'm shocked

Comment 1 day ago

Son Naba Kana @ Jaga Rico Aren't you supposed to run the dryer? What about bacteria breeding if it doesn't dry? Comment 1 day ago Charlie Puth @ Jaga Rico Does laundry actually dry if you leave it in the washing machine? ㅋㅋㅋ I watched that webtoon but I don't remember that scene Comment [Jaga Rico just now @ Charlie Puth Episode 147 Nagging Pot (1) 12th cut for real shocked Comment 1 day ago a8145060 I know quite a few people who put it in the dryer and take it out to wear, but leaving it in the washing machine to dry and wearing it seems kinda weird Comment 1 day ago

And honestly, I'm not that particular about cleanliness...

It's gross, rotten potato

My husband's cleanliness standards are unmatched, so I'm too dirty and he won't stop nagging!

A potato who just takes out whatever from the washing machine and wears it...

I should iron it before wearing it

This webtoon "Married Potato" shows up on Naver Webtoon sometimes

(You can see it on Naver Webtoon and Instagram)

It goes viral now and then

But the part that shocked me the most wasn't the 75L fridge—it was the laundry scene

Since a lot of people don't know about this, I grabbed the screenshot

The comic literally says "washing machine"

I was so shocked wondering if that's even possible

She actually did the opposite—but seeing how long they stayed married makes you think they really did love each other

🥚

Hanging dry would be even more of a hassle....

🐿️

Wouldn't that make the clothes smell rotten?

🥚

lmaooo the title alone 'Married Potato' has me cackling, but now I'm genuinely curious what could be SO shocking

🥚

No guys, that's actually a washer-dryer combo... don't be shocked

🥚

I kept catching it in my algorithm while preparing for marriage and saw it sometimes, but even though it seemed like she had three bodies—working, socializing, pushing herself—she didn't actually leave wet laundry in the machine and wear it. Iron it and wear it = basically just run the dry cycle, it gets wrinkled, so she irons it and wears it—that's what I understood passing by

🥚

Yeah this makes sense... if you leave stuff in the washer for days, it won't dry. Plus mold doesn't come off easily either

🐿️

Literally the smell would be intense enough to knock you over, there's no way even someone living like her would let it go that far ㅋㅋㅋ

🐿️

Wait so you're saying you pull it out of the dryer and then use an iron on it? Like that?

🥚

Yeah well sometimes there might be stuff that's not totally dry right?

🥚

Even using an expensive dryer, sometimes you get stuff that's not completely dry? I bought the top LG model for our newlywed apartment and with big loads sometimes they'd still be damp in the middle... Actually if clothes were always bone dry they'd wear out faster. Plus how would you even iron clothes while they're still damp? That's what's actually weird about this

🥚

I guess if we assume everything dried perfectly... but then you snap back to reality

🐿️

WAIT WHAT?? I need to read this webtoon immediately, that panel sounds absolutely unhinged 💀

🥚

I actually think it's weird how unfavorably she drew herself. That's why she refuses to roast her husband—she'd rather make herself look ridiculous. So she just keeps going in that direction and ended up painting herself as completely insane... you know?

🐿️

Doesn't seem like the husband is even the clean type?

🥚

The husband seems pretty normal, the artist is the weird one ㅋㅋㅋ The trash spirit ball and washing machine storage are just absolutely nonsensical

🐿️

okay this is either genius or completely insane and i respect it either way, adding to my reading list rn

🐿️

not me expecting wholesome content from something called 'Married Potato' and getting hit with whatever THIS is 😭

🥚

It says washing machine but it's gotta be a dryer... does that even make sense?

🐿️

They got married, there's no way they don't have a dryer... it's probably a combo unit

🐿️

literally scrolling past this like 'married potato??? shocking panel???' and now i can't stop thinking about it help

🐿️

Divorce was probably the right call

🥚

The artist's fans always say they've been watching from the beginning, but honestly it seems like the fans are what wrecked the marriage. Relationship problems aren't ever just one person's fault—these two just weren't compatible. There was no right or wrong to judge. But the so-called "fans" started saying stuff like the husband dragged the wife to the middle of nowhere, and left an overwhelming amount of hate comments disguised as fan concern. The artist even tried IVF and it didn't work, and the husband supported her creative work a lot—he bought equipment and said he'd help however he could since she was spiraling. When the husband's job was revealed, she even asked "how do you feel about the hate comments you get?" and he said "they don't know me, so it's whatever." I think they actually loved each other deeply. She should've done a long-distance marriage instead of following him to Gangwon Province. It's really unfortunate in a lot of ways.

🥚

the fact that webtoons keep pushing boundaries like this is why they're actually better than mainstream manga sometimes ngl
