I witnessed someone ordering at a Korean cafe saying "Please be careful because a pregnant woman will be eating this." The part-time worker got flustered for a moment and started looking for something. What she pulled out was an allergen chart. She showed it to the pregnant customer and said "Then we'll check for allergies and confirm your order. If there are no problems, we'll prepare what you ordered." I thought it was good customer service, but then the pregnant woman said "No.. it's not that I have allergies, it's because a pregnant WOMAN will be eating it." But she just kept saying the same thing like she was trying to play 20 questions with the part-time worker... Another staff member who was watching this riddle-like conversation came over and said "You will eat it. Or would you like a refund? We're having trouble understanding your request. If you'd like something specific, please let us know. There are customers waiting behind you." Then the pregnant woman clicked her tongue, muttered under her breath, and complained that we weren't listening, and eventually asked for a refund... I seriously still don't know what she was asking for.. This was the most difficult language arts section - non-literary passage - I've ever encountered in my life.

What, you want free stuff or something?

🥚

She wants a one-person portion that's basically a two-person serving

🐿️

I think she's asking for freebies under the guise of being considerate—like when you order jjajangmyeon from a Chinese restaurant while mentioning you're feeding your kid and shamelessly demand 'just a few fried dumplings as a little extra'—it's the same energy

🥚

Like 3,000 won full capacity~

🐿️

I worked in service for a while and dealt with similar situations. When people mention being pregnant while ordering delivery, it's basically saying 'I'm more sensitive than regular people so please be extra careful making my order.' But that just made me think 'so we make regular orders carelessly?' like a hundred times over...

🥚

I'm meeting my nephew later and now I feel bad for the baby in that woman's belly

🥚

These are the types who become problem parents demanding refunds when their kids get sent to school

🐰

Why can't she just say it straightforwardly?

🐰

Isn't this a misogynistic fake post? It's weird that she got a refund without even ordering anything yet

🐿️

?? She said she ordered though

🐿️

'We'll prepare what you ordered for you'

🐿️

'Order confirmed,' 'if there's no problem you ordered it'—setting aside whether this is fake, there's no mention of her not choosing a menu, only that she didn't mention choosing one yet

🥚

I thought the whole conversation at the register counted as ordering (before choosing a menu), but re-reading it, it also looks like she chose a menu and then asked them to be extra careful!

🐿️

Dumb woman~ you should know your own stuff. Do you really need people to do that for you? Before and after giving birth, you're just a mess

🐿️

Feel bad for her husband man

🥚

Just go ahead and give birth into a cup lol

🐿️

I don't get it even after reading it all. What exactly is she asking them to do?

🐿️

With the low birth rate crisis everyone's freaking out, these crazy women are taking advantage of it lmao

🐰

Whether you're pregnant or not, people outside your family don't care—you need to understand that. But people like her think the entire world revolves around her

🐿️

I don't know about your world, but in the world I live in people kind of show consideration implicitly

🥚

The post isn't calling out all pregnant women (?)—it's more about people who ask so shamelessly...

🥚

People who talk like that need a fist shoved down their throat. What the hell are you acting like, you absolute moron?

🐿️

These women are eating away at social respect for pregnant people. This kind of trash behavior should never be tolerated by society. It causes damage to future pregnant women too—it's absolutely messed up

🐿️

lmao why is this so accurate though, I asked my doctor like half of these and felt stupid the whole time 😭

🐿️

Not me nodding along to every single one of these at 3am while pregnant... why is nobody talking about the weird stuff that actually matters??

🐿️

This is either the most relatable thing I've seen all week or a personal attack on pregnant women everywhere, maybe both 💀
